My goal is to create clear, simple, effective and affordable audio and video packages for yoga teachers who want to archive their work, to make it available to their students, or who simply want to hear or see themselves teaching or practicing. The project can be as simple or as elaborate as desired, and can include recording audio, shooting video, editing (a little or a lot), adding original music, authoring DVD, designing CD and DVD labels, and assembling and duplicating a complete package. The price for these services is tailored entirely to meet the available budget and intention for the final product. My goal is to keep the services reasonable, so that more teachers can see and hear themselves, document their life's work, and make it available to the public.
Yoga teachers at all levels should get a chance to hear themselves, see themselves in action. For the new teacher, this helps them to hear if they are really communicating from the heart, and to refine their presentation. For the more experienced teacher, this gives them a chance to archive their life's work, and to make their unique approach to teaching yoga available to their students for deeper study, or to others who might be interested. I have been an avid student of yoga and meditation for decades. Many of my teachers have released formal DVDs or CDs of their yoga classes, but what I started to notice was that these teachers were usually so much more spontaneous, creative, and ultimately more profound in their regular yoga classes than they were in their formal recordings. So I began to encourage my primary teachers, Barbara Benagh of the Yoga Studio and Jill Satterfield of Vajra Yoga, to let me record and film them, so that my fellow students and I could go deeper in our practice. The response to the recordings made it obvious to me that there was a need for these kind of live and alive yoga teachings.
